The
"Jaws" closure can be applied to realize competitive home appliances closures,
wih minimal parts count.

A
lock can be added to the closure, by means of a solenoid-driven rod 16,
which, by being inserted on the back of one of the two hooks 605, prevents
the closure from switching back to its open position, and the male element
15 from disengaging from hooks 604-605.
A microswitch can be added at the opposite side of the device, integrated with the elastic ring 612, sensing the position of the hook 604, corresponding to the open/ closed position of the closure.  |
